The Bioimaging Unit, based in the faculty of Natural Sciences, provides advanced equipment and expertise in the fields of light and electron microscopy, as well as image analysis. We offer training, support and consultancy at any step: from the design of experiments and sample preparation, through image acquisition to its visualization and quantitative analysis.

The services are available to all University departments, as well as to external (academic and industry) researchers. Successfully undergoing a training program is mandatory in order to use the equipment independently.

The researchers are encouraged to consult us anytime, and particularly at the preliminary stages of a project in order to discuss sample preparation and imaging aspects for following proper data acquisition and analysis.

Collaborations between the labs and the unit personnel are encouraged.
